Esther May Sherman, age 87, of Fostoria died August 7, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Esther was born May 10, 1928 in Columbiaville, the daughter of the late Fred and Ola Oliver. She later married L.J. Ivan Sherman on May 26, 1945. She was a member of the Fostoria United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge 120, and Fostoria Mother's Club. She served as a union representative while working in the Mayville School District. Esther enjoyed traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Esther is survived by her children: Linda ( Mike ) Johnson, Wilma Kasper, Larry Sherman, Lorraine ( Terry ) Wheaton, Steve ( Monica ) Sherman,
She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great grandchild, close friends Tim Foley, Diane Meir, and a host of other family friends that will miss her much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings: Don, Ken, Ralph, Howard, and Babe.

Funeral service Thursday 11:00 AM at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit on Wednesday 3:00 to 9:00 PM.
Pastor Kay Leitelt Officiating. Interment Watertown Township Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Esther may be made to the family.
